My Approach:

My approach is person-centered and holistic.  I believe effective therapy is built on a strong, respectful relationship where you feel truly heard. Therapy isn’t about being “fixed,” but about feeling understood and supported so you can move forward with greater clarity, balance, and confidence.

I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness, and other trauma-informed practices into our work together.  The approach is always tailored to you.  There is no one-size-fits-all model here.

We will explore your experiences with care and curiosity, while building practical tools to help you feel more confident and grounded in your day-to-day life.

When It Helps:

Life in your 50's and later isn’t about winding down — it’s about living with intention.  Later life stages bring profound transitions, even positive changes can stir uncertainty.  I can help with:

  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Caregiving stress and burnout
  • Relationship changes
  • Career changes, retirement, relocation
  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Substance use, gambling concerns
  • Grief and cumulative loss
  • Identity and purpose
  • Self-esteem and confidence

If you are feeling stuck, restless, or disconnected from yourself after years of putting others first, or maybe it is not clear what you need — there's just a quiet awareness that something inside no longer fits, I can help.

How It Works:

In the first sessions, I’ll take time to understand what’s brings you to therapy, your life experiences, and what you’d like to feel different.  We’ll review confidentiality, identify goals, and move at a pace that is comfortable.  There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.

Sessions typically begin with a brief check-in, and together we’ll focus on what feels most important.  Our work centres on three connected areas: understanding and regulating emotions, developing more balanced perspectives, and making meaningful behavioural changes aligned with your values.

We’ll tailor the work to fit you, and check in regularly about what’s helping, so the process remains collaborative, clear, and supportive.

If you’re considering therapy, you don’t need to have everything figured out, you simply need a place to begin...
